Welcome to Khách sạn Mai Ivy Apartment

Khách sạn Mai Ivy Apartment stands as a welcoming haven in the heart of Hanoi's vibrant Old Quarter. Nestled at 87 P. Nguyễn Thái Học, Phường Điện Biên Phủ, Ba Đình, this hotel blends convenience and comfort with a touch of historic charm. With a rating of 3.7, it offers visitors an authentic Hanoi experience without the heavy price tag.

The apartment’s location is undeniably its strongest asset. Guests enjoy effortless access to the city’s iconic landmarks, such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Temple of the Jade Mountain, both just a short distance away. This proximity makes it perfect for travelers who want to immerse themselves in the rich culture and history of Hanoi.

The architecture of Khách sạn Mai Ivy Apartment is a conversation piece. Built in 1975 as a gift from the Cuban government, the building retains its mid-20th century modernist aesthetics. This unique design gives guests a nostalgic journey back in time, creating a charming backdrop that contrasts with the bustling modern city outside. Despite its age, the property is well cared for, balancing heritage with practicality.

Inside, the rooms offer spacious comfort. Many guests have praised the generous room size and serene views, particularly those overlooking the tranquil West Lake. Amenities like air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and USB charging stations add a modern touch to the stay. The outdoor pool provides a refreshing escape from the city’s heat, while the breakfast service offers a decent spread of choices, although it occasionally falls short in early hours.

The staff were frequently highlighted for their warmth and dedication. From assisting with local travel plans to providing friendly support, the team seems deeply invested in guest satisfaction. This commitment shapes the welcoming atmosphere and makes staying at Mai Ivy more than just a place to sleep—it's a place to feel cared for.

While the hotel may not boast luxury akin to high-end resorts, it delivers honest value. Visitors commend the cleanliness, especially the well-maintained toilets and swimming facilities, and appreciate the quiet retreat amidst the lively city. The rooftop area offers a peaceful spot to unwind without venturing into Hanoi's nightlife, adding to the overall balanced experience.

However, there are areas for improvement, such as more consistent breakfast service and additional in-house beverage options on the rooftop. Yet, these minor setbacks don’t overshadow the genuine hospitality and solid amenities provided.

In essence, Khách sạn Mai Ivy Apartment is an ideal choice for travelers seeking a harmonious blend of history, comfort, and convenience. Its unique setting by West Lake, dedicated staff, and thoughtful facilities create a memorable stay that reveals the soul of Hanoi. For those mindful of budget but eager for authentic experiences, Mai Ivy stands out as a quietly dependable option in the city’s vibrant lodging scene.

On searching on Google maps “thang loi hotel hanoi “, this hotel turns up. The actual hotel apartment in this location is the same name as seen on Google maps. Great customer service and the team was very helpful. More than the location and hotel is the customer support of the team that runs the apartment

The room was very big, view was really nice . Had a room with view of the lake. The pool was clean and really nice to take a morning swim or and afternoon relax in. The breakfast is nice, always something to pick from, but be aware! My last morning at my visit i had to jave breakfast at opening time 6AM, and nothing was prepared!!! Not even coffee! Too bad, and really bad service due to lack of anyone working, good at english. About dinner and restaurant, evening restaurant had to ask my last evening of my stay if there were any, and yes it was (only one) and when I came there, they only served soup and Pho..

Honestly, good hostel for the price. Clean toilets and friendly staff. It's not the Ritz. But you are paying around 100k per night. Highly recommend it

Although located in old quarter this hostel is so chilled out and quiet . Not once did I get woken up (even slept in once till 3pm ) beds are comfy and have blinds to give more privacy. There is also usb plugs and charging stations in the dorm bed space ( very convenient)there’s a roof top to chill if you don’t feel like a busy night out ( unfortunately no beverages are served the but you can take your own) the staff is very helpful and friendly Mai you are a star (my valentine). Great value for money.

The hostel is a great place in the middle of the chaotic Old Quarter. Despite being central, the hostel offers a quiet and comfortable place to rest and hangout with other travellers. The rooms are clean and well equipped with everything. Moreover, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, I felt that they cared for the costumers and their experience in Hanoi.

The hotel is an architectural jewel. Apparently it was built in 1975 by the Cuba government as a gift to the people of Vietnam. The architecture is very interesting and features many modernist details. Even though the hotel was built a long time ago, it seems like the hotel has remained mostly unchanged. It’s like travelling back in time. Despite the age, the hotel is well maintained. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they speak English very well and are always accommodating. Also the room, even though a bit dated, is comfortable and working well. The wings with the rooms are built on stilts over the lake and the view from the balcony is stunning. Since the hotel is located within a huge compound, it is very quiet here. Something rare to find in Hanoi. Breakfast is rather basic but enough and also has fantastic views over the lake.
